Sure do miss you, Herb. It's not the same airline these days. Instead of being distinctive and very customer focused, it is now becoming just another airline...and we've seen what happens to them. SWA...please return to the values and differentiation that were so successful for so many years.

Interestly, I was able to get the $120 fare to Phoenix, but to return there was no sign of that fare on any day at any time. Another example of Southwest losing its lustre and credibility among previously loyal customers.
What I want to know is...why is Southwest now trying to become more like the traditionally unsuccessful legacy carriers and abandon its successful strategy as the premier low-cost carrier? You are now in virtually every airport (higher cost ones included), now do more long-haul flying including destinations outside the continental 48 states (less efficient), made the Rapid Rewards program much less attractive and far more complex than in the past, and now have fares that are often no more attractive than the legacy carriers. I loved Southwest, and now you are just another airline. I can't figure out your management's strategy and positioning today...other than bags fly free and no exchange fees. That won't be enough.
