We decided to switch things up a bit when you fly Southwest Airlines – and in the best way possible! We’re nuts about your flight experience, and you’re nuts about our Honey Roasted Peanuts. Since you LUV them, your favorite honey roasted peanuts are back!

Customers are free to choose between pretzels and peanuts for their bite-sized bundle of fun. We transitioned from the equally delicious (but slightly less sweet) lightly salted peanuts to the honey roasted variety this month. All Southwest Customers, whether flying coast to coast or around the corner, now have the sweet joy of choosing honey roasted peanuts.

Glad to have peanuts on board, but prefer the healthier unsweetened nuts.

Am I nuts? Are you kidding me? You have gone back to peanuts? You have not only just completely knocked out the percentage of people who are allergic to peanuts, but their families as well. Peanut and tree nut issues don't just affect the people who have the allergy. It affects an entire circle of people. Families of people with the allergy will not fly with you and perhaps their other friends. No friend of mine would take a SW flight now to come visit us. It wouldn't even be negotiable. I would pay a full price ticket for them myself on another airline. Current statistics show that due to severe allergies affecting not just individuals but their households as well, 15% of the population will now strictly avoid your airline. This does not include family or friends that may avoid your business if they are visiting family and friends. I am extremely disappointed with this decision. While it is not everyone's issue, it certainly is a life or death issue for many families. Seriously? Obviously the CEO and board of SW doesn't have anyone with a peanut allergy in their lives. I am boycotting SW and going to be very vocal about my dislike of this choice. It seems completely insensitive to a growing population. Hopefully the little bags of peanuts will gain you more passengers than the 15% of people who will avoid your airline. Even if you changed right now, people affected by nut allergies will probably avoid the planes for some time just due to how stubborn the residue is, or just because of how stubborn we are about being safe for our families.
