Southwest Airlines’ award-winning Cargo Team is expanding its reach and footprint as we bring our service to Des Moines, Iowa! Shippers across the country and in some international countries will now have direct access to ship products to Des Moines-area Customers via the Des Moines International Airport (DSM). At the same time, companies in the Des Moines area will be able to ship their products to companies across our expansive network.

“Southwest’s expansion of its cargo service at Des Moines International Airport will make it easier for business owners to get their products into the hands of their customers,” said Kevin Foley, Executive Director, Des Moines Airport Authority. “We appreciate Southwest’s investment and are proud to continue playing a role in enhancing business in Iowa."

We anticipate moving a variety of products to and from DSM including farming related commodities, e-commerce goods, fresh flowers like poinsettias, fresh seafood for Des Moines-area restaurants, and much more.

Southwest currently offers up to five daily departures during peak travel periods, with nonstop service to Denver, Las Vegas, and St. Louis, giving Cargo Customers access to nearly all of Southwest’s 121 destinations throughout the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean.
