Update on SeaWorld Partnership

Over the past few weeks we’ve observed a number of Customers and community members reach out to Southwest Airlines regarding our partnership with SeaWorld.  We want our Customers to know that we’ve heard your concerns and we do not take them lightly.  I felt it was necessary to share our position on the partnership and hopefully address any concerns. We have a longstanding relationship with SeaWorld that is based on travel and bringing families together. We are engaged with Sea World related to the recent concerns being raised.   We are in a listening and education mode with the goal of upholding our commitments as a good corporate citizen.  As a responsible member of the community, we support several organizations and events that are devoted to maintaining the natural world. As A list member, I am sad to say goodbye to the airline I love so much. I will return when the relationship with SeaWorld has ended.

I am so sad that I just found out about your partnership with SeaWorld. I have only ever flown Southwest in my entire life. I actually have a trip coming up in a few days that I am now canceling. I love your airlines and I love your pet policy. Your partnership with SeaWorld is too much tho. The horrible lives that these animals suffer is not worth a cheap vacation.

If you are going to continue your relationsip with Seaworld I will just have to continue my relationship with boycotting your company Southwest! Vicki Kunkel 🙂

Hey - Thank you for ending the SeaWorld deal - It wouldn't have been the 'end of the world' if you'd continued it, but it *was* a negative, personally, for me, when I thought of Southwest, who otherwise, I regarded as a great airline. So thank you again - you're back at the top of my list!
