Wondering why hockey goalies are forced to pay for their bags as oversized while skaters are not. Goalies have larger bags due to their goalie pads and other equipment. Tonight we had to pay $75 for an oversized bag at Midway. Bag was under 50 lbs but was over 63 inches. Funny part is we have flown southwest numerous times and never have had to pay, including 2 weeks ago when we went to Buffalo

Sounds like you ran in to a rules stickler, but were lucky before then. If you are just a bit bigger than 62 inches lots of peope won't notice, but apparently one did.
