Change flight purchased with points to paying with cash

Can I change a flight booked with points to paying for it with cash!

You could cancel your original points reservation, the points would be refunded to the account they came from, then rebook the flight, paying cash. Unfortunately, you would pay whatever the price is currently, not what it was when you made the original points purchase.

Thank you!  That is just what I did and, luckily, it didn’t cost me too much.
