I have continually had a Companion pass for the last 10 years or so. Not so with the A Pass. A Pass seems so much more difficult to achieve because so few of the points that I use to qualify for Companion Pass, are eligible to be used for the A Pass. Why is their such a premium on qualitying for the A Pass? Logically, the A Pass costs SWA significantly less than allowing someone to qualify for the Companion Pass. Companion Pass gives user free tickets- A Pass gives priority boarding and other very minor benefits. Just curious...
