Companion selection RR number entry?

Just erned CP and about to enter my spouse as my selcted companion.  The companion selection sign up page does not ask for a RR number anywhere.  My spise is an existing RR member and  I have heard it will create a new user and assign a new RR number.  How can I get my spouses existing RR account to link to the companion pass without using up one of the three changes to then convert it?

There should be a place to link your spouse's Rapid Rewards Account when you are designating him/her as your Companion. If you don't see it, contact us (Twitter: @SouthwestAir / Phone: 1-855-234-4654) and we'll make sure everything is set up correctly. See you and your Companion onboard soon!
