hi my points are to expire in a few days. if i do online shopping today would they stay active. i know it takes a few weeks to for the points to post. so would it be too late now

I would call the 800 number and see if they have a suggestion. Maybe you can buy a minimal number of points, or booking a flight might count to activate them? I'm not sure if keeping them active requires adding points, or any activity would count.

You must have point *earning* activity to keep your account alive and avoid forfeiting your points.

The quickest way is to buy points.

RR Shopping points do count, and you may be able to get a rep to retroactively reinstate your points if you can show that points were earned prior to expiration, but that posted after. But that's not foolproof.

Good point @chgoflyer - booking a flight wouldn't earn points until you flew, so that's not really an option unless you have a trip before the expiration.

Thanks for clarifying that it is earning points rather than points activity/redeeming.
