After reading through the forums and website, I understand that there's not a fee for changing. I just want to verify that I can change to a different destination from my original ticket. Also, if there's a price difference, i.e., the new flight is cheaper, do I have still have a credit that can be used up to one year from the original purchase price? Thanks!

Yes, you'll pay the current price for the new ticket whether it is more or less. If you get money back, it'll be in the form of a credit for use within a year. (Flight takes place within a year, not booking within a year.)
Another way to think of it is that you can cancel the flight completely and retain that credit, and re-book. Destination/origination obviously don't matter in that case.
I actually changed a flight MDW to LAS once same day...on the way to the airport...I got $40 back since there was still a WGA fare for the new flight.

Thank you!! I feel much better about having my friends cancel their flight because of me!
