Changing a non refundable flight

I have a non refundable flight coming up July 18th.  I made the reservation several months ago.  Since that time I have encountered a knee problem which will necessitate surgery.  Can I reschedule the flight to a later date so that I have more time for recovery?

You sure can.  You can cancel your flight and you will receive a credit to use on a future flight.  You will have one year to use the credit.  The one year expiration date is going to be the purchase date of that flight not the flight date.
