I have purchased flight tickets for our family for a quick vacation. It looks like one family member won't be able to get off work and make the trip with us. Is it possible to take the ticket purchased for him and let another person fly in their spot? Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, no -- flight tickets are non-transferrable. If you cancel that person's ticket, you'll receive travel funds for the amount paid, which can be used by that passenger (only) towards future travel, which must be completed by the expiration date show in your confirmation email (usually one year from the original date of purchase).
