I understand that the flights did not close down, but the trip we had planned did close down, so that is why we cancelled ! The biggest thing is most places are giving people at least a year to make up for thier plans dome even more. I did come here to receive information but the way you are giving it basically is saying sucks to be you. I am telling my story so others can hear they are not the only ones and that something needs to be done about this issue. We are all dealing with stuff we never have had to deal with this is new for ALL of us even companies. So what I came here for his support for an upset customer, not to be belittled and act like I am stupid for purchasing something I was unable to use. We were told we would get a credit I was fine with that but when I go to use my credit it's gone something is not right. About that. There are lots of others going through this same issue. So yes I want information but would like more than just contact them. It's been done several times. Trying to figure out another way to solve this. Thank you.

No but they still should NOT keep money they did not provide a service for ! And we were willing to rebook. How is that any different then going in someone's house and saying I am taking this! There is no difference ! It is stealing money period !!!

I am sorry you are going through that too. I dont know if it's anything to do with age because our ages are 42, 38, 12, 12. I think they are just keeping everyone's money which is completely WRONG ! IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE A SERVICE SOMEONE PAID FOR HOW CAN YOU KEEP THE MONEY!!! Especially since so many places were shut down and we didn't really have much choice.

Yes we have contacted southwest ! They said they will give me 100$ for a credit but I lose my $900. I am fine with a credit if I get my full amount the flight we were trying to book was more than what our orginal credit was so we are willing to pay more. But not if we don't get our orginal amount in credit!

I am so upset ! We booked a flight for Nov 2020 and was cancelled due to Covid reasons. Southwest told us they would give us a credit for our flight. We were fine with this knowing we would plan to travel in Nov 2021. That is when we always do our vacations. In January of 2021 we decided on a vacation and we're trying to book our flight and use our credit I looked everyday for the flights to be posted on thier site for our Nov travel dates. The day They finally posted I called to get it booked and was told my credit had expired!!! We had no idea we had to book so quickly. They said we only had 6 months to use (which we were 2 days past 6 months ) but we could not book earlier because the dates were not posted. We thought we had a year to use that is what every single company is doing. But NO NOT Southwest our country is in a Pandemic and they don't care they want to steal hard earned money from people. They did not provide me a service how can they keep my money ! How can a company keep money they did not provide a service for. I am beyond upset about this.

I too had a flight for 4 scheduled in 2020 was cancelled because of covid. We were told we got a voucher for the tickets which I was fine with we knew we would be booking again. We go on vacation every year around Nov. We had to wait for Nov flights to be released.. I checked every day waiting for them. The day they were released I tried to book, and were told our credit had expired !! It had not been a year since we booked. and southwest refused to give us our credit! That is ridiculous when there is still a pandemic going on a company refuses to give you back your money for a service they did not provide. What makes them think they deserve my money I worked hard to earn but they did nothing to earn that money!! I loved southwest but after them taking $1000 from my family I am truly upset. I don't know how they can do that.
