Brian,
While I appreciate your response to my posted comment, I have a question about the "moderation process". What guidelines are used to determine if a comment is "on topic" or not? Because if it is as vague as your policy on Customers of Size, I have my concerns that many of my posts are not "flying with Southwest" and therefore, are not being posted.
Also, I find it very curious that the number of comments have fluctuated so much that some blog posts have hundreds of comments posted and others have less than 20 comments posted. I wonder how "on topic" comments must be to be posted, or if they have to be "on topic" but mention very, very little of the current PR debacle Southwest is experiencing because Kevin Smith's quest for Southwest to tell the truth about what happened to him on one of your flights.
-Cathy, who USED to fly Southwest out of Phoenix to see her large extended family.
P.S. Was my comment on this post REALLY that "on topic" or just REALLY convenient, so that you could post a response declaring that you post "the extremely negative" comments, too - "as long as they are on topic"? In my opinion, this implies that quite possibly I'm not the only one calling into question "the moderation process" of comments to your blog posts.

What a lovely, thin couple!! Congratulations on the wedding!!!! Although, when you begin to put on the pounds after a few years or after a few kids - you might have to turn your back on Southwest when you fly anywhere.
By the way, Southwest, I'm so glad you included pictures of some of your employees who volunteered for the BIG day! I'm just curious if you have ever asked your employees how they feel about the "Customer of Size" policy. Some of them are probably so glad that you don't have a "Employee of Size" policy. Boy, that would be embarrassing - "Sir/Ma'am, I'm sorry, but we are going to have to ask you to buy a larger office chair because you are spilling over the office chair we supplied you with and making your co-workers uncomfortable."

Did all these airplanes have 17" seats, too? Oh what am I thinking, probably smaller than that! BECAUSE WE WERE A SMALLER NATION THEN! Adjust with the times, Southwest: Request that the airplane manufacturers make you some larger seats for your planes. As you well know, where there is a demand, someone will fulfill the request to make the almighty dollar!
Try to bury it with pretty pictures and pretty stories of airplanes - Still doesn't hide the UGLY truth of lies and disrespect.

Brian, Southwest IS picking and choosing the comments that are being left on the blog. The comment that I posted (for approval that, I guess, has been denied) right after the this entry had been posted has never appeared and it was COMPLETELY ON TOPIC.
As stated in my original comment: You do NOT have the BEST LEADERS, as you state in the last sentence of this post. According to the source you site, they are SECOND BEST.
I am simply amazed that Southwest Airlines has not learned their lesson yet, and learned to TELL THE TRUTH!

Just wondering, have you always moderated the comments to your blog...or is this new?
