My son is in the U. S. Marine Corps. He has not been home in 8 months and was scheduled to fly home on Saturday. He called us about 10:30 Thursday morning and said he was suddenly given permission to head home. Thanks to Southwest and the flexibility you allow your passengers, we were able to quickly change his flight and had him on an airplane by 3:00 that afternoon headed toward Texas.
I want to commend Southwest for not penalizing your passengers when changes need to be made. In September we were scheduled to fly out to see our son, but his schedule changed. It was wonderful to be able to cancel our flight, put our money for the tickets on reserve, and then use that money to buy our son a ticket to fly home. He told us how nice it was that the vetereans and active military were appreciated and allowed to board first. From a very proud military Mom, THANK YOU!
