It's me again! Now I'm nervous about installing the Cares harness. I've read about installing it over the tray (where the passenger behind cannot use the tray) and under the tray (so that the passenger can use the tray). Is it under the tray for Southwest (flying on 737-700)? Does "under the tray" mean the space between the actual tray and the seat OR the space between the tray and its housing (I can't figure out the word for it)? If I completely forget, will the flight attendants be able to help me figure it out? Thanks!

Yes, your plan will be fine. I believe requiring the car seat be in the window seat is to prevent it from blocking the quick escape of someone during an emergency. That's not a concern with the harness so it can be used anywhere.
